#5 Things that have been inspiring me this week
A podcast, a photo series, a website and a video for your viewing pleasure
Hi friends!
Yesterday I shared with you a short story about painting as a child and an unfinished watercolour painting I made at the beach. Today, I’m sharing with you a selection of things from internet that have inspired me this week.
I hope they also inspire you. Enjoy!

🎙️ ‘Make Art for No Audience’ from Kening Zhu
I recently came across Zhu’s writings on creativity, world-building, and detangling art from artistic audiences. In this podcast, she questions the legitimacy of an artist without an audience, and whether our fixation on being seen as an artist is actually a conducive way to be a creative person.
Listen to the podcast below, or check out her writing here.

🛜 ‘The Great Earthdoors’ by Kevin Ciao
Are.na is my favourite place to search for inspiration right now. A small passion project, it has no algorithm (thank, God!), no advertisements, and features collections of all sorts of media from all sorts of people. The Great Earthdoors is one of my favourite corners of Are.na that I frequent when looking for outdoorsy inspiration.
🎥 Have you ever seen a shaved alpaca?
Literally couldn’t stop laughing at this and I hope you feel the same way 🥰
